The stage is set to rip the wings from a butterfly,The stage is set…

I know… I know how long it’s been.

I know it’s almost been a full year since I’ve even been back here.

Which is absolutely horrible. It’s like I took a step away and never looked back. I didn’t want that to happen, but it did.

You see, I finally got a solid job that wasn’t driving people around for 4 dollars and a MAYBE a dollar tip. While that gig was FUN, it wasn’t paying any bills. (I still love doing it, though!)

I managed to get a “real” job around the same time the website got its soft opening. I had poured every ounce of “umphf” into the new job then got so caught up in making sure I was doing the best I could there that…I just forgot about…everything else. So Etsy never saw me again, this website never saw me, my socials never saw me, my important projects never saw me…I became a ghost everywhere.

I started becoming a productive member of society. AND I LOVED IT.

But something was missing. The adventure of it all. The project had halted after season 1 of the button project because I wasn’t traveling anywhere around the city on “another person’s dime.” And gas prices were getting worse and worse. (Ain’t no one got time for that.) Driving for Uber and Lyft meant I could drive across town and get paid to do it, and had the ability to leave the buttons in different locations. So I decided to halt the production. (But season 3 has been on my mind lately.)

Currently, we’re halfway through with releasing season 2 of the button project. You can find the sets of 3-4 buttons, magnets, and stickers, in a small bag with a “welcome” sticker on it and our QR code. Share the website with your friends!

Season two follows a love story gone wrong. Do the lovers ever see each other? Did they ever know eachother? Were they trying to save the world? We’re cyborgs really trying to defeat the princess? What was the man with kind eyes trying to do all along? You’ll have to find out by following the button trail off and online.. #mothermothproject You can find the whole story by following them using that hashtag online.

And don’t you think I’ve stopped making new little things. I’m trying to get all my little goodies uploaded. Where did this surge of productivity come from? Well, I think I just started to wake up. I think it also means I’ve hit baseline for a bit. So cheers for now, and let’s hope I keep this up.

If no one has told you this today, I love you.

xoxo
